What is Glutathione?

Stamped as “The Mother of All Antioxidants,” Glutathione is an antioxidant produced in cells. Glutathione is the body’s most important antioxidant. It is the biggest threat to toxins because it neutralizes free radicals. It fights almost any disease, particularly those associated with aging. It’s comprised mostly of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. Glutathione levels in the body are reduced by many factors. Some of these are poor nutrition, poor sleep, environmental toxins, and stress. Its levels also significantly decline with age.

What is it important?

Every cell in the body needs Glutathione. When a cell is depleted of Glutathione, it dies. As we age, our body’s Glutathione production diminishes, leading to a detrimental drop in the cellular functions that help maintain a healthy heart, brain, eyes, liver, kidneys, pancreas, and joints. This is why physicians and medical researchers all over the world are encouraging people to increase Glutathione levels in their bodies.
